stuff that's been happening
Sunday, July 13, 2008 5:00 PM
my last posts were absolute bogus so i'm going to make up for it (because i'm fair that way).
i changed the look of the blog because i felt that the last one was so depressed and sad. this one isn't very exciting and it isn't sad, so i like it. does that make the layout like me?
friday, june 11. i finally got to treat my friends to a birthday party. it's not really a party because we just ate, but it was fun all the same. we ate at yellow cab along banawe and joked around a lot. nothing really beats just hangin'.
right after, i had to get my things ready for the leadership training. i panicked at one point because i couldn't find any pajamas.
the leadership training was tiring but fun all the same. we had an anticipated mass that seemed to take forever to finish. the team building activities were fun. gawd. i really don't feel like talking about it. too early for jokes.
it's sunday today and i went home at around 10:30 from school. i immediately took a shower and i was sooo ready to go to bed. but alas! my mom tells me to get dressed because we're going to mass at christ the king and then we'll have lunch at gerry's grill afterwards. apparently, it's my brother's despedida lunch because he's leaving for dubai on friday. we might not see him for two years so we have to have a despedida. (*he's not a DH/nurse/caregiver. he's going to dubai as an architect.)
and now, i've just finished the reflection paper on human sexuality and my adv. alg. homework. all that's left to do is study for my english LQ, 2 chem quizzes, and a filipino quiz.
ok. cool.

rushes

i came home today sweating like a hippogriff. if the school bus' a/c isn't broken it must not exist. it's always so effin' hot in the school bus. especially when there are beyond sweaty grade schoolers. i don't really blame them. they're kids. they should be able to play as much as they want. the problem, therefore, is with the air conditioning. it needs to work 20x as hard to keep us all cool. seriously.
i came home to find my brother asleep on my bed. one word:
ew.
i need to change the bed covers, duh.
my dad called to day to tell me he'll be coming around for my birthday. he said he's financing my birthday celebrations. great. i haven't even given it a thought. i feel old.
ugh. my life is so blah!

crunch time

everybody's who's online in ym is doing their book report. i'm proud to say i'm finished with mine. excellent work, i must say. the drawings suck but that's coz i'm no artist. advice to those people in ym still doind their homework...sign out! you'll never get done if you constantly check the status messages of everyone else online.
i still have to practice my song for the music project tomorrow. i got the lyrics down and the melody is down pat. the only problem is the singing and playing part. why on earth am i such a talentless bum? people constantly ask me what i would do in a talent show...and i smile and say nothing. good god! i need to find a talent. god! how can you have overlooked me? anyway, singing is easy enough. i actually wouldn't be worried at all if not for the playing the piano part. do we really have to do it both hands? if not, then i'm totally set.
i am such a materialistic person. i want so many things at this moment. it really makes me wish i have tons of money that i can do whatever i want with. i want to win the lottery by buying just one ticket. gawd. it's never gonna happen is it?
i hate being with the debate team. it really doesn't matter if they kick me out. i'm not having fun. it used to be but it's just a farce now. i learned a lot though. thanks.
school is almost over. nooooooooooooooooooo!

volleyball
i spent the last two afternoons practicing volleyball. my arms went red. but my cheeks were even redder. it doesn't feel very good to know that you're not good at something. especially when you're forced to do it. if you know what i mean. my classmates were very helpful. especially sam, micah, and lek who were really patient and willing to teach me. it means a lot. i still suck but it's really good to have supportive and encouraging friends. we have phys ed on monday and we're supposed to play volleyball. it's a friendly competition but that doesn't mean it's informal. i'm pretty sure it's graded. my arms went very close to falling off this afternoon. hopefully i can pass pe this quarter.
outstanding
"fourth quarter is the most important quarter of the year. serving it up gary's way!" - me
the grades are about to be given out. good god. i really hope i make it into the list. if i don't, then i have absolutely nothing going for me. gotta be fantastic for the fourth quarter. can't mess around no more. haha.
palihan
we went to binangonan, rizal today for our exposure trip. it was kinda like lakbay kalikasan but it just wasn't as fun. i had a great time on the bus. daryll became my seatmate. it was fun. when we finally got to the fishing village, it was what could be expected. smelling of fish, fishnets everywhere, water everywhere. bettina's group took our host family so we had to go look for another one. it had me stressed for a while but it turned out okay in the end. the woman was really nice and understanding. unfortunately, she knew nothing about fishing. all i got was that she wanted to buy a boat (that is all their own) in the future. good luck to you. i was really hesitant about eating there because the are smelled of wet dog. i managed. haha. the trip back home was really eventful. i got to experiment with belay's and daryll's hair. it was all me. i made them look good. too bad they didn't have the creativity to do the same for me. the mindless dolts.
dentist
my mom finally had my tooth checked out. turns out it was impacted. that means its fully grown inside my gums but it won't come out because the tooth beside it is blocking its exit. i need braces and surgery to be able to correct it. grrreat. also, i have really bad gingivitis.
that's it for now. gonna watch wheel of fortune (pinoy edition).

hello!
Friday, July 20, 2007 5:58 PM
hi blog! i know i've been dormant for (what i feel is) more than a few decades. accept my apology because i simply have no time in the world left to post in this blog. between debate training, homework, late mang anton, there is no time left! let me just speed this up.
july 2 - my birthday! we had a family dinner consisting of dad's famous meatloaf, spaghetti, cake and other delicious things...which i cannot remember.
july 4 - 1st PALIHAN. we didn't do much. just played games to...uhh...encourage team building
july 7 - birthday party! we had our neoprints, bowling, movie and dinner! fun, fun, fun! forget the hole it put in my mom's pocket. bowling is fun if you're winning, it sucks if you don't hit a single pin. the neoprints are cool! i'll be sure to scan them soon! the movie was great. a bit anti-climatic but still awesome. shi labeouf seems to be getting hawtter.
july 8 - saw live free or die hard with my dad, kuya jay and ate ida. definitely a dick flick. but it was cool. the techno speak was a bit confusing. my dad said it needed more action. yeah dad, i bet it does.
july 10 - kuya jay's birthday! we had another family dinner consisting of pansit, lengua, etc. debate training extended until 6:00 and i had dad pick me up. super chaos! in the end, aimee ended up hitching a ride with us, we had to pick up ate ida at jolibee araneta, we had to buy pansit for kuya jay (his request), adn we had to go through all this in a storm! happy birthday kuya jay! have a good one!
july 11 - i had to skip debate training for this one (tuesdays & wednesdays) because i want to watch harry potter and the order of the pheonix at gateway. ate heny got me tickets. i had to finish all of my homework and leave at 6 to beat the traffic. we made it on time, thank god, and i got to watch it! yay! it was great but it wasn't non-reader friendly. those who haven't read the book might be a bit confuzzled.
july 14- integ seminar at ateneo. seminar on debating. it was beyond boring because i already knew everything. waste of my 50 bucks. had fun with kate though. enjoyed sir alvin's debate stories. had a mountain dew float at KFC. do not try it, its 'orrible!
july 18 - pre-selling of fall out boy tickets. gawd! i need to get my grimy fingers on them...pronto! fall out boy concert is on september 21!!! ahhh! can't wait!!! my dream has come true! my prayer has been answered! thank you, oh, thank you!
july 20 - today! not much has happened. belay is still at home with 'lagnat'. get well soon! she's been absent for 3 days. count how many quizes she's missed. haha. stuck with daryll -- cheesy fries-less. sad. tomorrow is the deathly hallows release! OMG

! i finally get to read the ending of a saga! i'm part of history! must get my hands on that book...and quite possibly a box :)

just a quick rundown of what's been going on in this cursed life of mine.
on june 11, i forgot to mention that we went to see ocean's thirteen at the gateway cinemas. the popcorn was awesome...oh, so was the movie. it was the first ocean's movie i've seen so i had to read the plot of the previous movies to be able to understand what the hell is going on. i read it on wikipedia, by the way. just sharing :)
on june 12, can you believe it? we had school! that was the first time that there was school on june 12th. that's probably the reason why very few people attended the yearly celebrations. their fault, their loss, their problem.
june 13th, ate ida went back to school, more homework, just the usual school stuff.
june 14th! my last day as the secretary of (then I-4) II-4! how can it end so soon? i was a secretary for 3 consecutive years f'gosh sakes! how can i just leave it without me feeling so empty?
june 15th! election day. halecx got voted for chairperson, sam g. for vp, arianne (ack!) for secretary, kaisel for treasurer, and ysabel for YPMO. bettina and carmina got picked as PALIHAN representatives. to be totally honest, i think arianne doesn't deserve to be the secretary. she just won because she's the popular one. i really think lourdes or even micah deserves to be class secretary more than her. okay, i'll be totally honest, i feel that i should still be secretary. who can handle it better that i can? i have responsibilities and i still managed to be an OS. good luck, arianne. i want to see your report card for the previous year. let's see if you can juggle both school and being a secretary. harumph! as a consolation prize, i got to be the OFFICIAL REPLY SLIP COLLECTER with daryll. ugh. that sucks major ass. its amusing, to be sure, but that doesn't get you in the leadership camp now, does it? yes, darling, i'm very bitter.
daryll also bailed on our plans to do the computer powerpoint her in my house. her mom didn't let her go which i think is complete and utter bogus. sure, daryll is all math whiz and everything, but the girl cannot make a good presentation. or write one. snap. i cooled off and we played badminton. it was fun. i think i'm a natural. a real natural at failing. but with more practice, i bet i'll be better than my sister. haha. i really wanna change my layout now. i'm just not feeling it. dang. i hate june the 15th!

first day of school , the days after
Monday, June 11, 2007 7:31 PM
june 6--the first day of school. i barely got forty winks in. in my head, i was thinking 'finally, some shut eye. just as that thought entered my head, my alarm went off at 5:00 am. i was like, 'wtf?'. so that day being the first day, i got up and blindly made my way to the bathroom. i wasn't quite used to the morning rituals that i had mastered just months ago. so i kept asking myself, 'what's next?'. i got to school and, as instructed, ysabel was right there waiting for me. haha. we got in tons of laughs the whole day. so it was fun.
the next few days were horrible. i had a huge pimple on my forehead that i am sure everyone could see. what's worse was, it was picture day on tuesday so that just made the situation worse. on the third day we had our year level orientation. i hope i get my reciting skills back tomorrow. i think ysabel, sam and a few others got a few points ahead of me. i'm very confused about certain situations. do i run for class officer? i really don't want to be anything else but the secretary. that's the only position i feel sure i can do. i am also very confused about the SEG i'm gonna join. debate looks like fun but i don't want to be all alone in there. among all the scary fourth years. nothing else really interests me. please, god. help me decide.
i've been listening to magic 89.9 during the evenings. listening to sexy time. i know that it is not exactly GP but its the radio so everything is mostly in blankets. fall out boy is merely a dream for me. sighhhhh. hung out with daryll and ysabel last saturday. just watched harry potter 1. did i already write about that? i think so. gawd, i am so forgetful. just before school began i had a sudden urge to learn about HTML. i could have done that during summer. but nooooooo. it had to ignite when i was just turning my back on the computer. just like most things. i have to go now. not really but i want to go now. even though i could sit here and write for hours on end. (arl) don't mind that. i want to make sounds. sometimes i want to say a letter so badly that i make up sounds to satisfy that craving. weird, i know. but that's just me i guess. i just listened to amy winehouse's song 'rehab'. its addicting.
