hey! just a quick post before i get ready for my FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL TOMORROW. let's see. i don't know what i'm going to wear yet and i don't even know how to get to my first class. frankly, every moment i spend not solving those problems makes me extremely anxious. but forget about that for a moment as i share what happened today.
i had to wake up at 5:30 so i could leave the house by 7. i really didn't want to be late for the orientation. (as a matter of fact, i don't ever want to be late for anything ever) i got up at that unholy hour because it was my first time to go to UP all by myself via jeepney rides and i had to give myself a lot of time to learn the route. i had to make time for the slip-ups that would undoubtedly happen to me. and this is what i have to say about that journey:
seriously. it wasn't without its embarrassing moments and lots of looking around wondering where that jeep to UP was but it went rather smoothly for a first time. i guess that's what you get for planning ahead. i got to the building at around 7:30 AM, just in time for the beginning of registration.
so the first activity was HUMAN BINGO. as the hosts said, bagong bago yung game, grabe. i didn't finish mine because i really didn't have the balls to go up to someone and say they're my crush. :))
after that, it was all about the different BA organizations. another game ensued, a treasure hunt for blue and gold foil triangles scattered around the BA building. our block lost spectacularly since we didn't go with the divide and conquer approach. what else happened? all of us were asked to consult with our student council "buddy". whaddayaknow? my buddy was nowhere in sight. i did find the other people who were under his group and we kind of just stood awkwardly together, waiting for something to happen. so many gay babies were born from that.
so the final part of the orientation was the Block Acquaintance Party. to be honest, it sounds so much cooler than what really happened. but it was fun, nonetheless. everybody was just extremely friendly and outgoing and i guess you really need to be like that in college if you wanna make the most of it.
that concludes the CBA freshman orientation. i was really impressed with their freshie kit. it really shows how much effort they've put into this. :D
okay. see ya!
