i went to the fall out boy concert at the araneta coliseum last friday.
lemme tell you, it was awesome. and i guess that's all you really need to know.
it was my third time at the araneta coliseum for a concert. so...yeah!
i videotaped every song until this guard told me to put it away.
guard - wet blanket/kill joy/party pooper/spoilsport/stick in the mud
(that...is putting it nicely)
i bought a shirt from the merch table. it wasn't fall out boy. i got a hey monday shirt. i just think that fall out boy is so popular that i would be embarassed to wear it on a regular basis. i mean, i've seen kids from my province wear an fob shirt. that just ruined it for me. besides, the print on the hey monday shirt i bought was really cute. much cuter than any of the fall out boy designs.
so yeah. here's the set list:
- Thanks Fr The Mmrs (it's their second time here)
- Thriller
- A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More "Touch Me"
- American Boy (to all my filipino ladies! - or was it girls?)
- Sugar, We're Going Down
- This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race
- I Don't Care (LED guitars moment)
- Beat It
- Headfirst Slide Into Cooperstown On A Bad Bet
- Nobody Puts Baby In The Corner
- The Take Over, The Break's Over
- I Slept With Someone In Fall Out Boy And All I Got Was This Stupid Song Written About Me
- Disloyal Order of Water Buffaloes
- Grand Theft Autumn
- America's Suitehearts
Encore:
- Dance, Dance
- Saturday
it kinda sucks that they only did the really popular songs. makes sense, i guess. frankly, i wanted them to sing the whole folie a deux album.
btw, during intermission, they were playing these hip hop songs. made me want to listen to lil' wayne's album. the beats just made you want to....do something. haha!
the people in our box were so corny. when hey monday came out, they didn't even stand. what the hell is wrong with them? some of them still sat down when fall out boy came on. i just wanted to ask them... "why'd you get tickets?"
in summary, the concert was short. less people came. but to just be able to sing along (for me)...is enough.
